PARK KYOUNG MUG
“Power within restraint”
Park Kyoung Mug 박경묵 · 黙巖Hand-Ground Ink on Hanji · Korean Ink Painter
South Korea · UK Exclusive Representation: KOUM Partners, 2026 –
Park Kyoung Mug works exclusively with hand-ground ink on hanji, a practice rooted in the material discipline of the Korean ink tradition. His large-scale works — some exceeding five metres — are drawn from sustained, direct observation of the eastern coastline of Korea, where silence accumulates into form. The result is an art of concentrated stillness: what he calls a comma in the viewer's day.

We build sustainable market value.
KOUM identifies artists through studio visits, fair attendance, and direct referral across London's Korean art community. We also accept submissions from artists whose practice meets our curatorial criteria.
We seek creators whose work transcends temporary trends, embodying the structural permanence and elegance required for the global stage. Our partnered artists receive data-driven market positioning, high-end private dealing, and access to an exclusive cross-border network built on 21 years of London market presence.
